Mary Cornelia's Sisters Laura and Charlotte

Mary Cornelia's sister Charlotte met Edward Lynch in Oklahoma City. In 1919 she applied for a passport so she could join him and be married in France. Her application says he was an officer retained with "the Army of Occupation." Mary Cornelia was living in Waco, Texas at the time (her husband David Rutledge was a telegrapher for a railroad there.)

The Lynchs settled in Los Angeles, where Edward became a deputy sheriff and she a stenographer for the LA County Superintendent of Schools.

Laura McGhee never married as far as I know. In the 1930 census she is living in the Southwestern Insane Asylum in San Antonio, Texas. She died there 9 August 1930 of a cerebral hemorrhage. Charles Rutledge (my father-in-law) said he was never told what was wrong with her, but he suspected she was mentally handicapped.
